Colegio Rauquén Website
Brief
In mid-spring 2021, the Rauquén de Curicó school invited me to help design their website.
We did this work in collaboration with Laikabit®, a company I am part of as a partner and UX designer. We met to define the timeline and activities needed before starting interface design and programming. We made a five-month plan since we had to make an in-depth discovery of end users who wanted to reach different profiles and roles.
Structure
In the plan, we mark the milestones and activities, define the scope, and assign ourselves roles such as leaders, validators, and coordinators.
Our idea was to obtain the maximum knowledge and mature expertise in all topics. It was essential to know the school and what they wanted to offer.
Design
In the design stage, the client had the previous website, where we obtained the content and pages, prioritized them, and defined the templates that would be used.
Learning
In school projects where the end users are the school's staff, students, and parents, it is essential to create a map of priorities for each one; this way, we can create more focused use cases of how a user performs an activity through the website.
It is essential to know that the architecture is not well resolved if the user does not find the information they need to complete their task using all the navigation, search, and shortcut resources. This is why greater emphasis should be placed on Structuring, Organization, and Labeling, especially on websites with information and categories.
